An intimate cocktail party with Christopher Esber

We recently had the pleasure of hosting an intimate cocktail party with acclaimed designer Christopher Esber, to celebrate his Pre-Fall 2024 collection. Following Esber recently winning the esteemed ANDAM Fashion Award, we were delighted to share this exclusive experience with valued friends and supporters of both brands.

Guests included Pip Edwards, Madison Gillard, Victoria Burns, Carmen Hamilton, Holly Lyle, Jess Pecararo and more.

The event was held at our Paddington boutique, which underwent a complete transformation of the ground floor to showcase Esber's latest collection. Reflecting a nostalgic warmth for balmy days, the PF24 collection features a refined palette of mist, olive, and cigar suede, artfully contrasted with vibrant summer hues of Valencia orange, pink salt, cherry red, and cola.

These colours were seamlessly integrated into the event's decor, creating an elevated but inviting ambience.

Guests enjoyed an array of handcrafted cocktails, such as dirty martinis and a contemporary twist on the classic Aperol Spritz, each showcasing the event's featured colors.

Accompanying the drinks was a meticulously curated grazing board, presented in an elevated and architectural style, alongside gourmet canapés. This culinary experience perfectly complemented the unique Aura photography moment, enhancing the celebratory atmosphere.

Our intentions were to create a profoundly immersive environment that captured the essence of both brands, offering a unique evening for all guests.

A note from Chris

"For Pre-Fall 24, I was inspired by endless summers and nostalgia for balmy days. This collection really brings this notion of converging ideas, and contrasting materials to life - the unconventional pairing of casual codes with the ornate. A personal favourite is the Crimped Lace Cami Dress in Valencia Orange. It’s manipulated by hand to look eroded and crushed, and is spliced with a sorbet coloured lace. It’s the convergence of utilitarian codes with delicate femininity, offering a relaxed approach to glamour.

I love the way The New Trend buys into our collections - they invest in our more directional and fashion forward pieces, alongside our classic tailoring and brand icons, and have an audience who is unafraid to take risks when building their seasonal wardrobes." - Christopher Esber

"The It girl favourite designer launched their latest collection at The New Trend with a hedonistic party."
