A night out in Melbourne with Christopher Esber

A night out in Melbourne with Christopher Esber

We had the privilege of hosting an intimate evening with Christopher Esber to celebrate the arrival of his Fall Winter 2025 collection, and to mark the brand’s milestone 15th anniversary.

The cocktail party unfolded at Le Splendide by the renowned team behind Melbourne institution France Soir, where guests gathered in looks by Esber, embodying the effortless sensuality and architectural elegance that have defined his design language since the brand’s inception.

The atmosphere was electric as friends of the brand and longstanding supporters joined together for the occasion. Among the guest list were Rozalia Russian, Lindy Klim, Millie Arnold, Holly Lyle, Dominique Nurtsch and Yasmin Suteja dressed in Christopher Esber alongside Chris, the designer himself, who was also in attendance.

Speaking about the season, Esber shared:

“The starting point is always tactile, which is very apparent for FW25. The collection brought together three areas of inspiration – flamenco, decadent upholsteries, and shibari knots. I’m interested in bringing unexpected combinations together to create something new. So, in this collection, you’ll see the fluidity and movement of flamenco dance, deeply tactile textiles like velvet and brocade reminiscent of lived-in upholsteries, and intricate shibari knots that double as straps and concealed bodices beneath sheer silhouettes. Being an international Fall Winter collection, jewel tones set the tone for the season, with an injection of mustard and a bespoke tortoiseshell print bringing light relief to an otherwise sensual palette.”

“It’s hard to believe 15 years have already gone by! The last few years in particular have been a whirlwind, between showing on-schedule at Paris Fashion Week, winning Designer of the Year at the Australian Laureate, and then the ANDAM Award in Paris last year. I’m really energised by the momentum and excited by what’s next.”

In the immediate future, the brand will present its SS26 show in Paris on October 7, while continuing to expand accessories following the success of the Jo Flip Flops and Turnlock Shoulder Bags. Longer term, Esber revealed ambitions in menswear, fragrance, and future collaborations, promising an evolution that remains true to his core vision of sensuality, craft, and unexpected combinations.

On his ongoing partnership with TNT, Esber added:

“Our wholesale partners are so important to us. TNT has been a long-standing partner who has believed in and backed the brand, supporting directional brand styles and representing Christopher Esber in our home market in such a considered way. As a designer, this is really important to me because it offers the customer a true insight into the brand vision and seasonal narrative. I have no doubt we’ll continue growing together.”

The evening closed with a toast to both past and future, a celebration not just of a new season but of a designer whose vision continues to shape Australian fashion on the global stage. Discover the collection at TNT online and in boutiques.
